Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Cover the inside of a pie dish with the pie crust.

  3. Layer sliced oranges in the crust.

  4. Add sliced apples, removing cores and rind.

  5. Top with more orange slices and plenty of loaf sugar.

  6. Moisten with enough water.

  7. Cover the pie with more crust.

  8. Bake until golden, then sprinkle crushed lump sugar on top.
