  1. Pick elderberry flowers in bunches in the morning before sunrise.

  2. Place the flowers in a wooden tub and cover with a blanket.

  3. Once the heat has expanded them, remove the flowers and spread them out on a table.

  4. Allow the flowers to dry completely, then store them in boxes in a dry, dark place.
