Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Pork
Provides the lean meat that forms the main body of the sausage.
Veal
Adds mild, delicate meat that softens the overall texture of the filling.
Beef suet
Adds fat that keeps the sausage moist and juicy as it cooks and dries.
Penny loaf
Bread soaked in water absorbs moisture and helps bind the filling and keep it tender.
