How to Make White Unfermented Bread

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and baking powder together.

  2. Dissolve the salt in the water.

  3. Combine the saltwater with the flour mixture and mix quickly to form a dough.

  4. Shape the dough into loaves and let it rise for 1.5 hours until spongy.

  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the loaves until golden brown.
