What each ingredient does

Partridges
The main meat, which the mushroom stuffing flavors as it cooks inside.
Mushrooms
Release moisture when simmered, forming a savory stuffing that keeps the meat moist.
Butter
Fat that carries flavor and helps the mushrooms cook gently in a rich base.
