Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

All-purpose flour
Forms the paste and crust that holds the filling together.
Beef suet
Adds richness and moisture to the crust as it cooks.
Tender steak
Forms the main filling, becoming tender and juicy during long boiling.

The step that matters

Seal the pudding carefully. A tight seal keeps water out of the pudding during the long boil, so the filling stays moist and the crust does not turn soggy or fall apart.
