Currant Dumplings

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Make the mixture as for baked plum pudding.

  2. Divide it into pieces the size of an egg.

  3. Drop them into fast-boiling water without laying them in a cloth.

  4. Boil quickly for about 30 minutes, moving them around to prevent sticking.

  5. Sift sugar over the dumplings and serve with lemon juice.
