Mushroom Delicacy

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a buttered casserole, layer uncooked mushrooms, bits of butter, salt, pepper, cream, and buttered bread crumbs.

  3. Start with a layer of buttered bread crumbs.

  4. Pour in a little more cream, cover the casserole, and bake for 45 minutes.

  5. Uncover, brown slightly, and serve from the dish.
