Strawberries to Bottle

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Choose strawberries of even size and pack them closely in clean, wide-mouthed bottles.

  2. Pour clear syrup into the bottles until they are three-quarters full and the fruit is covered.

  3. Cork the bottles tightly and cook them in a bain-marie with cold water, bringing it slowly to 400°F (200°C).

  4. After reaching temperature, remove from heat and let the bottles sit untouched until the next day.

  5. Lift out the bottles, wipe them, seal, and store necks down in straw in a dry place.
