Pickles and Preserves
Ingredients
Directions
Choose a dry, sunny day to prepare your fruit.
Wash and inspect the fruit, discarding any damaged pieces.
In a pan, bring the fruit to a boil by itself.
Once boiling, add the warmed sugar.
Boil the fruit and sugar together for 10 to 15 minutes, but no longer than 20 minutes.
To test for doneness, drop a little jam on a plate; if it jellies within a minute, it's ready.
