Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the steak into thin slices and dip them in a mixture of flour, salt, and pepper.

  2. Roll up the seasoned steak pieces and place them in a pie dish.

  3. Skin the mutton kidneys, slice them thinly, and dip them in the seasoning.

  4. Layer the meat and kidneys in the dish until full, piling it high in the middle.

  5. Add some water to the dish for gravy.

  6. For the crust, beat the egg in a bowl.

  7. In a separate bowl, mix ½ lb of flour with ¼ lb of butter and ½ teaspoon of baking powder.

  8. Chop the butter into small pieces and mix it with the flour.

  9. Add about ½ cup of water to form a dough.
