To Boil White Clothes

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Put 3 gallons of water in a large pot and add 2 tablespoons of melted soap and 1 dessert spoonful of paraffin.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil.

  3. Add the finest clothes to the boiling water, pressing them down with a stick.

  4. Boil the clothes for 30 minutes, ensuring the water remains boiling to prevent staining from the paraffin.

  5. After boiling, remove the clothes and place them in cold water, then rub out any stains and rinse again.
