Fried Sweetbreads

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Soak sweetbreads in water for several hours.

  2. Boil sweetbreads for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on size.

  3. Place boiled sweetbreads in cold water to cool.

  4. Once cool, carefully dry the sweetbreads.

  5. Dip sweetbreads in beaten eggs, then coat with bread crumbs.

  6. Heat cooking fat in a frying pan until boiling.

  7. Fry sweetbreads until golden brown, turning occasionally if fat does not cover them.

  8. Serve with tomato sauce or brown sauce on the side.
