Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Dissolve the sugar in water, boil for 3 minutes, and cool.

  2. Stir the cornstarch into a little milk until smooth, then add it to the cream.

  3. Freeze the mixture.

  4. Line a mold with the frozen vanilla ice cream, keeping the can in place.

  5. Prepare a pineapple sherbet, color it pink or green, and mix in the candied cherries, pineapple, and almonds.

  6. Freeze the sherbet, then fill the cavity of the mold with it.

  7. Cover with buttered paper, place the mold cover on, and pack in ice and salt until ready to serve.

  8. Soak the fruit in a little brandy before freezing to prevent hardness.
