Filtered Coffee
Ingredients
Directions
Make a sack from fine flannel, larger than the top of your coffee pot.
Stitch the side seam, leaving an inch and a half open at the top.
Create a circle with stiff wire and insert it into a hem at the top of the sack.
Fill the sack with coffee and lower it into the coffee pot, spreading the wire ends apart.
Turn the top of the sack down over the pot, covering the spout to retain aroma.
Pour boiling water over the coffee, close the lid tightly, and let it simmer for 15 to 30 minutes.
