What each ingredient does

Egg whites
Whipped into a foam that gives the ice cream its light, airy structure.
Rich cream
Adds fat for a smooth, rich texture that resists large ice crystals.
Powdered sugar
Adds sweetness and keeps the frozen texture softer and easier to scoop.
Peaches
Add fruity flavor and soft pieces that stay distinct in the frozen mixture.

The step that matters

Heat the cream without boiling. Egg-based mixtures thicken gently just below boiling. Overheating or boiling can curdle the eggs and leave a grainy, uneven base.

Swap the orange

How well each one fits the dish's main ingredients (egg, sugar, cream, peach, apple, banana):

  1. Vanillafits better
  2. Strawberryfits better
  3. Pearfits better
  4. Orangethe original

Fit is the average pairing score against egg, sugar, cream, peach, apple, banana. Candidates are from the same food group and used in at least 100 recipes.
