Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Gelatine
Sets the reduced cooking liquid into a firm jelly that holds the chicken together.
Chicken
Provides the meat that is suspended in the jelly, cooked until tender first.
Worcestershire sauce
Adds savoury, tangy depth to the reduced broth.

The step that matters

Dissolving the gelatine in the reduced water. Gelatine must be fully dissolved in the warm reduced liquid before setting. Undissolved granules leave a grainy, weak jelly that may not hold the chicken and egg together when cut.
