Eggs with Bacon

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Cook the bacon by cutting thin slices, rolling them up, and securing with an iron skewer.

  2. Cook the bacon in the oven at 400°F (200°C) or over a fire for 5 to 6 minutes.

  3. Fry the eggs to your liking.

  4. Serve the eggs on croutons of fried or toasted bread, and arrange the bacon rolls around the dish.
