Imitation Mushrooms

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Use a biscuit-forcer to push out the Italian meringue paste into small, long cork shapes and round drops on stiff paper.

  2. Sprinkle the shapes lightly with grated chocolate and dry them in a cool place.

  3. Stick two elongated pieces together to form the stalks of the mushrooms.

  4. Insert the narrow end of the stalks into the bottom of the drops to complete the mushrooms.

  5. Dip the broad end of the stalks in egg white, then in grated chocolate to mimic the dark mold on real mushrooms.
