Extracting Peppermint Oil
Ingredients
Directions
Gather peppermint leaves when fully grown and before they seed.
Cut the leaves and place them in a still, covering with water.
Heat the still over a good fire; once it begins to drop, tilt it slightly to allow slower extraction.
Bottle the liquid when cold and let it stand for one to two days before corking.
