What each ingredient does
- Green tea
- Provides the main flavor and the aroma of the drink.
- Boiling water
- Extracts flavor from the tea leaves during steeping.
The step that matters
Let it steep for 5 minutes. Steeping time controls how much flavor the leaves release into the water. Green tea is delicate, so steeping too long can make the brew taste bitter and astringent, while steeping too briefly leaves it weak.
