What each ingredient does

Beef heart
Forms the main body of the dish, cooked whole and stuffed.
Bread
Soaks up butter and water to make a moist stuffing inside the heart.
Butter
Adds fat and moisture, and helps the outside brown in the oven.
Flour
Dusted on the outside to help form a browned crust.
