To Preserve Eggs

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Place a layer of dry bran or sawdust in the bottom of a box or keg, enough to prevent the eggs from touching the bottom.

  2. Position the eggs in the box with the little end down, ensuring they do not touch each other.

  3. Cover the eggs with more bran, continuing this layering until the box is full, with bran on top.

  4. Cover the box with a board and store it in a cool cellar.
