Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no cooking times; the times in the steps were added in transcription, so check for doneness rather than trusting the clock.

  1. Cut the chicken into small pieces or mince it finely.

  2. Chop the celery into small pieces.

  3. Mix the chicken and celery together and let it sit for 1-2 hours.

  4. Add the salad dressing and mix well.

  5. Transfer the mixture to a dish and shape it into an oval.

  6. Spread some dressing over the outside.

  7. Garnish with delicate celery leaves, sliced white of egg, and thin slices of green pickles.

  8. Optionally, add sliced pickled beets cut into diamonds or stars.
