Ingredients

Directions

  1. Break the egg into a saucer and beat it with a fork until thick like batter.

  2. Sweeten the milk with white sugar and stir in the beaten egg.

  3. Serve with a piece of sponge cake or a slice of toast.

  4. For a variation, beat the yolk until light and thick, then mix it into the sweetened milk.

  5. Beat the egg white until stiff, gradually adding ½ teaspoon of sugar, and pile it on top of the milk before serving.
