Fish Pie

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Remove bones from the cold fish and layer it in a pie dish.

  2. Sprinkle with pepper and coarse sea salt.

  3. Add a layer of bread crumbs, grated nutmeg, and chopped parsley.

  4. Repeat layers until the dish is full.

  5. Pour in white sauce and cover with a layer of bread crumbs or mashed potatoes.

  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
