Butter

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Churn the cream steadily for 20 minutes to 1 hour until butter forms.

  2. If desired, add a little finely-powdered annatto for color or scrape a red carrot into water and squeeze it into the cream for a natural color.

  3. Once butter forms, pour off the milk and place the butter in a shallow bowl filled with pure spring water.

  4. Wash and knead the butter in the water, pouring off the water and renewing it until the butter is free from milk.

  5. Ensure cleanliness throughout the process for the best results.
