Ingredients
Directions
Cut the citron into strips an inch long and a sixteenth of an inch thick.
Arrange the citron strips in regular rows along the top of the cake.
Pour the wine and then the brandy over the cake on a platter or in a long glass dish.
In a saucepan, combine sugar, egg yolks, and milk; cook until it begins to thicken.
While lukewarm, pour the custard over the cake.
Once cold, whip the egg whites until stiff, adding powdered sugar, and heap on top of the custard.
