To Boil Eggs

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wash the eggs in warm clear water and wipe them dry.

  2. Fill a kettle with boiling water and place it over a brisk fire.

  3. Using a skimmer, carefully lower the eggs into the boiling water without cracking the shells.

  4. Do not add more eggs than the skimmer can lift at once, and ensure they are of similar size.

  5. Time the cooking: for soft whites, boil for 2.5 minutes.
