Broiled Oysters

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Choose the finest oysters, wash, and dry them with a towel.

  2. Season the oysters with coarse sea salt and black pepper.

  3. Place the oysters in a folding broiler over a clear fire, turning them as they cook.

  4. When done, serve immediately with small bits of butter and additional seasoning if desired.

  5. For an alternative, string the oysters on a wire with thin slices of pork in between, then broil before the fire.

  6. Serve the oysters without the pork, using only a little pepper for seasoning.
