The Plain Red Herring
Ingredients
Directions
Choose a firm, fresh herring. If too salty, soak in lukewarm water for a few hours and dry with a cloth.
Wipe the herring and dry it well.
Make a few incisions on the back or slightly split it.
Rub the herring with flour or leave it plain.
