Salmon Pie

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Rub the bottom of a pie dish with butter.

  3. Lay the salmon cutlets in the dish and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Add bruised shrimp or lobster pieces between the cutlets if available.

  5. Fill the pie dish halfway with water.

  6. Use the salmon bones and any other ingredients to make a fish gravy.

  7. Bake the pie until thoroughly cooked.

  8. Open the lid and pour the gravy into the pie before serving.
