Filled Beefsteak

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the stuffing as you would for fowls and spread it thickly over the steak.

  2. Roll up the steak and tie it securely with twine.

  3. Place the rolled steak in a kettle and add a small amount of water.

  4. Stew the steak, turning it frequently, for at least two hours.

  5. Once cooked, remove the steak to a platter and take off the string before serving.

  6. Make a gravy from the juices in the kettle and pour it around the steak.
