Canned Fruit Cooked in the Syrup
Ingredients
Directions
Prepare the fruit by washing, peeling, and coring it.
Drop the fruit into the boiling syrup and cook until tender.
Remove sterilized jars from boiling water after 15 to 30 minutes.
Fill the jars to overflowing with the cooked fruit and syrup.
If there is not enough syrup, add boiling water.
To prevent air bubbles, insert a spoon or fork into the jar.
Wipe the rim of the jar, place the sterilized rubber ring, and screw down tightly.
