Irish Bread with Straight Dough
Ingredients
Directions
In a large bowl, combine water, yeast, sugar, lard, and coarse sea salt to make a straight dough.
Knead the dough until it is medium firm.
Allow the dough to rise until it doubles in size.
Scale and shape the dough into loaves.
Place the loaves in a cloth-lined box and dust with flour.
Bake in a slow oven at 325°F (165°C) without washing the loaves.
