Egg-shell Easter Eggs

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Open one end of each egg, making a hole the size of a small button.

  2. Shake out the yolks and whites, then wash each egg in lime water and set them hole end down to dry.

  3. Place the eggs near a warm area to dry.

  4. Melt pure sugar cream in a pot and flavor it with lemon.

  5. Fill a paper funnel with the cream and squeeze enough into each egg to half fill it.

  6. Turn the egg in a rotary motion until the cream sets.

  7. Open the hole with a pencil and heat more cream, coloring it yellow to match a hard-boiled egg yolk.

  8. Fill the eggs completely with the yellow cream using the funnel.

  9. Let the eggs set for several hours.

  10. Wash each egg clean and seal the hole with red sealing wax.

  11. Cut several eggs in half for display.
