Pot Potato Pasty

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point. The book gives no cooking times either; the times in the steps were added in transcription, so check for doneness rather than trusting the clock.

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Prepare a filling of your choice, such as seasoned meat or vegetables.

  3. Spread a layer of mashed potatoes in a pie dish to form the bottom crust.

  4. Add the filling on top of the potato crust.

  5. Cover the filling with another layer of mashed potatoes to form the top crust.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven until the top is golden brown, about 30-40 minutes.
