To Keep French Beans
Ingredients
Directions
Gather French beans when they are quite dry and not too old.
Layer coarse sea salt in the bottom of an earthen jar.
Add a layer of beans, then more salt, repeating until the jar is filled.
Ensure salt is on top, tie a piece of leather over the jar, and place a flag on top.
Store the jar in a cellar for use.
