To Boil Brocoli in Imitation of Asparagus

  1. Strip off the leaves from the brocoli and remove the outer rind up to the heads.

  2. Tie the brocoli in bunches and soak in saltwater.

  3. Boil in a pan of salted boiling water for 10 minutes.

  4. Remove from water and place on a serving dish.

  5. Pour melted butter over the brocoli.
