Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

Boil the ham

  1. Wash the ham thoroughly and place it in a pot with cold water to cover.

  2. Simmer gently for 5 hours, then set the pot aside for 1 to 2 hours.

  3. When nearly cold, remove the ham and peel off the skin.

Glaze and bake

  1. Cover the ham with cracker crumbs and sprinkle with sugar.

  2. Place the ham in a baking pan and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 30 to 40 minutes.
