Asparagus Peas

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wash the asparagus and cut the tender stalks into half-inch pieces, keeping the tips separate.

  2. Boil plenty of salted water in a pot.

  3. Tie the cut asparagus in a thin cloth and add to the boiling water.

  4. Tie the tips in a separate cloth and boil for about five minutes.

  5. Once the cut portions are tender, remove them and place in cold water until ready to serve.

  6. Drain the asparagus, heat quickly with butter, salt, and pepper, and serve on toast.
