What each ingredient does

Sausages
Provide meaty flavour and substance, becoming tender and savoury as they simmer in the broth.
Frozen vegetables
Add bulk, colour and mild sweetness while releasing flavour into the boiling water.
Vegetable strips
Add texture and body to the soup as they soften during the final boil.
