Oyster Soup

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Strain the liquor from the oysters ; add water to it, as much as you think will be required, and put over the fire. Take off the scum as it rises ; season with salt, pepper and butter rubbed with flour. Let it boil a few minutes to give it consistency : then turn in the oysters, and let them just come to a boil.
