What each ingredient does

Rice (in the method)
Forms the main body of the dish; steaming cooks the grains until soft and tender.
Boiling water
Provides the liquid that hydrates the grains and cooks them through during steaming.

“What each ingredient does” and “The step that matters” were written by Claude from this recipe’s own method and reviewed in samples by CompKitchen.
