Aiilk Toast

  1. Cut off the crusts of stale bread and slice h inch thick. Toast over the hre till brown and not scorched. Butter and place in a deep dish. Sprinkle with salt. Bring some milk to the boil, add butter and salt, and pour over the toast. Serve immediately. Do not make much at a time, as soaking spoils it.
