  1. ] pt. sour milk; add a pinch of salt, flour enough to make a stiff batter; beat perfectly smooth, tke last thing before baking add a level teaspoon of soda dissolved in hot water; add enough sweet }nilk to make thin enough for baking on a hot griddle.
