Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Bananas
Provide the bulk, moisture and natural sweetness of the whip.
Thick cream
Beaten until stiff, it traps air and gives the whip its light, rich texture.
Lemon juice
Its acidity brightens the banana flavour and helps prevent browning.

The step that matters

Cool the banana mixture before beating it into the cream. Warm banana pulp can melt the fat in the cream and thin the foam, so the whip loses its airy structure. Cooling first keeps the whipped cream stable.
