Fruit Salad Served in Apple Shells
Ingredients
Directions
Prepare the shells
Take good looking apples, green, yellow, or red, of medium size.
Cut off a good piece from the top of each and remove the meat of the apple, leaving a shell.
Make and fill the salad
Chop together the apple hearts, pineapple, grapefruit, and cherries, in equal parts, and add a little lemon juice.
Sweeten all with powdered sugar, and place in the shells of apples.
The same salad may be served in orange shells.
Other fruit in season and a little grated coconut may be used.
