Shell-fish
Ingredients
Directions
Keep oysters in a cool cellar and sprinkle with salt water.
Check that the shells are firmly closed; discard any that are open.
Remove all bits of shell before cooking.
For frying, mix a little baking powder with cracker dust or cornmeal.
Cook oysters immediately after preparation, regardless of the method used.
