To Boil, Corn Beef
Ingredients
Directions
Soak the corned beef in warm water to remove excess salt.
Cover the pot to allow steam to condense and fall back, preventing nutrient loss.
Boil the beef until it is so tender that it falls apart when lifted with a fork.
Remove any bones from the meat.
Pack the meat into a deep dish, mixing the lean and fat well.
Skim the cooking liquid and boil it down until it fills the spaces between the meat.
Place a flat cover on top of the meat and weigh it down until it cools.
